My thoughts and opinion:

Read this almost a week after the first book but have to say this wasn't as good. It turned out quite boring and meh. Won't read the remaining books since I don't see the story getting any better.

The last "Hourly History" book I read was rather meh. But this one about Nero was good again. Learned a lot, freshened up the memory and overall really enjoyed it!

Meine Meinung:

So, ich glaube ich muss damit anfangen dass ich selbst Gamerin bin. Vielleicht nicht so exzessiv wie andere aber immerhin. Trotzdem hat mir das Buch gar nicht gefallen. Ich weiss bis heute nicht welches Game da eigentlich gespielt wird / wurde?! Trading Card Game? IRL Game? Cosplay-Mix? Hmmm. Autumn ging mir auch ein bisschen auf die Nerven. Anstatt dass sie sich ein bisschen zurückhält verhält sie sich oft wie eine kleine Zicke. Und der Plot? SPOILER: Meghan und Autumn können sich nicht ausstehen weil eine der anderen den Freund ausgespannt hat. Auf einmal sind sie aber ganz dicke und arbeiten gemeinsam gegen den Täter? Ich bitte dich!! SPOILER ENDE. Auch waren mir zu viele verschiedene Charaktere dabei von denen ich die Hälfte schon wieder vergessen habe. Der Plot-Twist? War okay. Das Ende ging mir allerdings viel zu schnell. So als hätte man ein Wortlimit das man nur nicht überschreiten darf. Kriegt von mir knapp 2 Sterne.

My thoughts and opinion:

It didn't take me long to enjoy this book. I like both stories, the current (our time) one and the one during the thrilling time of Jack The Ripper. It ended with a cliffhanger and I really want to know what happens next! Can highly recommend!

Ich fand es ehrlich gesagt eher so lala. Gut, ich bin auch nicht die geeignete Altersklasse aber trotzdem. Allzu spannend und actionreich (wie beschrieben) was es meiner Meinung nach nicht.

Ich habe schon lange nicht mehr so etwas langweiliges gelesen. Habe es bis über 160 Seiten geschafft und es ist so gut wie gar nichts passiert. Auch versucht Andy Weir krampfhaft witzig zu sein, wirkt aber meistens peinlich. Schade.

I'm usually a big fan of thee "hourly history" books as you know but this one was the worst so far. It didn't focus at all on what Sigmund Freud has done but more on his parents.

Meine Meinung:

Habe leider nur die zwei ersten Bände gelesen da es einfach nicht so meins ist! Die Story an sich ist nicht schlecht, ich kann nur einfach nichts damit anfangen! Trotzdem, jeder der sich für Sci-Fi oder Fantasy (mit Aliens) interessiert wird damit seinen Spass haben!
